RAFTING

The boat must be in accord with the objectives of the group. With different characteristics, different types of boat allow the group to choose which model is most appropriate for each type of rapids in rafting.

It is made of durable material, the hypalon. This fabric is a blend of polyester fiber and reoprene. The size ranges from 3.65 m to 5.50 m. The larger the boat better stability.
The security features are essential in rafting. The helmets must have internal regulation, to accommodate various head sizes.

The ideal model of lifejacket for rafting should have a high fluctuation (the ideal is to float a person up to 160 kg) and fastened with adjustable straps, a float to mind.

Another key item is the cable of redemption, which is an elastic rope with about 20 meters
The paddles used must be as light and sturdy as possible.
The length of the paddle is 60 inches.

Choose Your Style: Canoe, Kayak or Raft (Rafting)
There are a variety of formats and sizes for canoes, kayaks and rafts. Select a craft based on your experience, your budget and how you want to use it.

Canoes
For canoeing boats are small, light and usually very narrow. The canoes are moved by oars simple, with the pilot sitting in brackets or kneeling on the hull of the boat. Canoes are usually open on top, but the slalom are closed like kayaks.
Canoes are famous for their instability (which can be fun), and requires good communication between people who are riding a canoe together. The rounded bottom canoes are more unstable, but more resistant to rollovers. The flat bottom canoes are generally more stable until you pass a threshold tilt easily when flipped.
Canoes Grumman canoes popular include, Coleman Canoes and Wenonah canoes.

Kayaks
Kayaks are a little smaller than canoes and covered with a deck. The paddler sits in a hole in the center of the kayak and paddles with a double paddle. A skirt prevents the kayak is flooded with water. Skilled paddlers can even completely capsize and then right the kayak.
Kayaks are very stable because the paddler is positioned in the center of gravity lower than in a canoe. The recreational kayaks are between 9 and 14 feet long.
The popular include kayaks Perception kayaks, canoes and kayaks Necky Old Town.

Rafts
Rafts differ from canoes and kayaks for not keel. Rowers keep on top of the water by their buoyancy and not by water displacement, as with canoes and kayaks. Rafts are mainly used for recreation and navigation in fast rafting white water. Most rafts are conducted with a single oar.

Curiosity: The ancient kayaks were made of animal skins stretched over a wooden frame. Some were designed to be collapsible and are called folders.

Construction of Raft
A raft can be made from any material that can float on water. Commonly, inflatable rafts are made of flexible PVC plastic. Although this material is resistant to punctures, it is always a good idea to bring a patch kit with you.
