Do you have so much stuff, but not enough spare space in your home or business to store it?

Have you ever thought of renting this things to people who may just need them and don’t want to go out and buy them?

There are a lot of people who want cameras, ski and snowboard equipment and other stuff temporarily while they are on a vacation.

Camping gear for example can cost hundreds of dollars and many people find that they don’t go enough to justify that expense. So they prefer just to rent it.

Or if you have tools, there are a lot of chances that someone could be interested in renting them. In fact, studies have shown that the average power tool is used for only about half an hour in its lifetime. Renting (or borrowing) that specialized tool when you need it can save you money, and free up space in your home or garage.

Just about anything you have, that someone else cannot afford, is a rental opportunity. That makes it one of the more feasible and legitimate ways to make extra money.

When you post your item, you can always set a security deposit in case something happens to it.  The Owner has to decide how much to hold as the deposit (or can choose not to require one at all).

You can list these items on a website called Cool-Rent (cool-rent.com), you post for free and get paid to rent your items.

On this site you can also exchange things. Let’s say you bought a game and you don’t want to play it anymore. In this case why not just exchange it for another game with someone else that is also looking to exchange game? The same applies for audio books, movies, clothes, game consoles etc.

But you can also exchange homes. This can be a vacation alternative where two families agree to swap homes for a vacation. The both parties can have rent-free accommodation during the exchange and that can really save you thousands of dollars/Euros.
