Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Kayak – Is It Worth It?

What the Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Kayak seems to convey is complete ease of use, from carrying and inflating, to paddling and deflating. The SE330 is constructed with an extra thick 33 mil K-80 Polykrylar hull, and weighs in at only 26 pounds, but is capable of carrying up to 500 pounds.

The inflated dimensions are 11′ 2″ x 2′ 10″. Between the 9″ tubes is a 9′ 6″ x 1′ 1″ interior. Included is a foot pump, and the kayak can be inflated from its compact deflated size of 24″ x 16″ x 7″ in as little as 6 minutes.

Sea Eagle 330 Inflatable Kayak with Deluxe Package Reviews:

The reviews seem somewhat mixed for this inflatable kayak from Sea Eagle, although the positive reviews do outweigh the negative reviews by a fairly good margin. One thing on the positive side that stands out to us is that many people like the ease of transporting it in addition to how quickly it can be inflated. After spending between 20 to 30 minutes initially figuring things out, that time can be drastically shortened.

The paddles are quick to assemble, it is nice and stable in the water, and it is easy to deflate and pack up. Many reviewers were more than happy with the support from the seats, but others were not as satisfied with them.

The material is stated as being quite strong, so you don’t have to worry too much about rips or tears unless you are really doing some serious rapids, which this kayak isn’t meant for in the first place.

A few of the negatives worth mentioning are that some people found themselves having a hard time completely drying the channel that runs between the side tubes and the floor. They stated it to be a bit tricky even though the instructions say to dry it out thoroughly or mold can set in.

Another reviewer mentioned not caring for the weight of the paddles, as it tires them quickly, but in all fairness that will probably be a case by case basis.

The most critical review stated that the supplied inflatable seats have pool toy inflation valves (not one way Boston valves) making the inflation process a struggle. In addition, it was also mentioned that the seats provide minimal back support, and in their opinion is snug with only one adult and one child let alone two full grown adults.

Apart from some minor flaws it seems, and generally being considered a little small for two adults, in our opinion Sea Eagle has done a fairly good job of providing an easy to inflate kayak that has some good things going for it. The price is affordable, it is just not our top pick.
